THREE SPECIAL ELECTIONS FAST APPROACHING
Posted March 15, 2019Three special elections are on the horizon for Republican held seats. Holding on to these 3 are important to help take the House back from the ultra-left Democrats.
One is in Pennsylvania and the other two are in North Carolina. Both states will be battlegrounds in 2020.
Pennsylvania Special Election
A special election will be held on May 21, 2019, to fill the remainder of the term for Pennsylvania's 12th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives. Tom Marino, a Republican, resigned from office effective January 23.
The conservative Republican candidate is State Representative Fred Keller. The Democrat Marc Friedenberg is a supporter of a government controlled health care system under so-called Medicare for all rubric.
North Carolina's 3rd Congressional District Special Election
This seat became open with the death of long-time conservative maverick Congressman Walter Jones.
The primary will be held April 30. If no one candidate receives at least 30% of the vote, there will be runoff primary on July 9. If a candidate receives more than 30% of the vote, there will not be a runoff and the special election will be held July 9. If a candidate in either party's primary doesn't receive 30%, there will be a runoff primary on July 9. The special election will then be held on September 10.
As of now, there are numerous Republican candidates running in the primary.
North Carolina's 9th Congressional District Special Election
With charges of voter fraud in this past November's election, the results were thrown out and a special election was called. The primary is May 14. If no one candidate receives 30% of the vote, there will be a primary runoff September 10. If a candidate does get 30% in the primary, the special election will be September 10. If there is a runoff, the special election will be November 5.
As of now, the Democrat will be Dan McCready who lost narrowly this past November. A hard fought primary is taking place on the Republican side. Nancy Pelosi and her cronies are and will be putting millions into this race.
